Turning One, Talking, and Walking

It's been three months since the last update and Lily has been very busy. She set off to LA at the end of April for nearly a month in the California sun. She went in a little pool and a big ocean, wandered the zoo, and had her first birthday party with grandma and grandpa. She even took her first few steps!

When she got back to Connecticut she decided that crawling was still better than walking for a couple more months. On her first birthday more family came to visit for a backyard party on a day thankfully warmer than the one she was born on.

She's been to aquariums, farms, playgrounds, markets, and everything else that early summer in New England has to offer. She loves her books and is learning new words, both English and French, every week as well as a menagerie of animals sounds.

A few weeks ago she started walking again and hasn't stopped since. Now she can stand on her own and toddle into all sorts of new trouble. Pretty soon, it's back to LA!
